Clontarf FC Awards Day May 2026
On Saturday May 16th 2026 our annual club awards day took pace in the parish Hall on Seafield Road. It was great to see so many of our players, coaches and supporters in attendance for what has now become a highlight of the calander in the parish.
We had over 50 boys and girls teams in attendance from our U8s right through to our U18s as well as our Football for all team and our junior referees group.
As usual a huge thank you goes out to Shea McNelis and his team who once again organised and setup this amazing event, while John Rush, Mark Evenden and John O Neill do trojan work to make the event the success that it is each year.
And a special mention to our fixtures secretary Kim O Neill who organised the venue and looked after the setup on the day and without her the event wouldn't have been such a success.

It was great to see the opening of our awards ceremony by our outgoing Chairman John O Neil who after 27 years involvement with the club is passing the mantle over. And it was really special that the first group to receive their awards on the day were our football for All team, who John has been involved with from day one and has acted tirelessly to promote.
Our football For All team have grown each year since they were first setup and we continue to encourage anyone who wants to join this group to come along to DCC any Saturday from 2-3 between September and May, where the coaches will be delighted to get any new members of the team involved.
And then it was time for the awards to our U12 - U18 Boys and Girls sides. These groups had 3 awards per team.
Players player of the year - selected by the players on each team for their team mate who they felt made the greatest contribution to the team over the season and was the best player.
Coaches Player of the season - Selected by the coaches of each team. who they felt was the player who performed the best for the team over the season.
Team Player of the year - presented to the player who gave the most to their team over the year whether that was in matches, in training, on and off the field.
In Total there were 27 teams in this section with 81 individual awards presented over the course of the afternoon.
The final award of the day went to the newest group within the club. Our Junior Referees. Without referees our games don't go ahead so it was great to have 16 newly qualified referees from within our club player ranks, put their hands to refereeing this season.
The full group for the year were
| Andrew Meehan | Noah Beamish | Sebastian Reeves | Aidan McSwiney |
| Cillian Shields | Rory Kinsman | Dylan Shore | Alfie Burke |
| Charlie Bourke | Noah Reeves | Senan Reeves | Donagh Kirwan |
| Dylan Murphy | Lewis Tilly | Eoin Clinton | Ronan Cadegan |
And we had 3 referee awards this season. The first 2 voted on by the coaches
SSG Referee of the year - Voted by the coaches of the U10, U11 and U12 teams which are our teams that play 7 a side and 9 a side.
11 a side referee of the year - Voted by the coaches of any U13 - u16 team that had one of our junior referees officiate at least one of their games this season
And the final award was the club referee of the year. This is for the referee who has improved as a referee the most during the year and committed to their role the most.
The winners were as follows
SSGG Referee of the year - Lewis Tilly
