Our annual Club Christmas  Lunch takes place this year on Friday November 21st in Clontarf Castle

A message from our club Chairman John O Neil outlines all the details and how attending this event will really help our club

Clontarf FC  are a local community club catering for both boys and girls from ages 5years to 18 year old and have  circa 800 players( including over 100 girls & growing) participating across 48 teams and our Nursery in our club and are fourth largest club in Dublin.

Clontarf FC has recently started on the 16 September 2023 a new program entitled “Football For All  with the FAI which has as its central aim the delivery of football opportunities to children(boys and girls) with disabilities, who may not ordinarily get a chance to play the ‘beautiful game' and our FFA team  competed at the  FAI Blitz over the weekend out in Abbotstown .

As a community club we want to provide all the boys and girls in Clontarf with the opportunity  to play football.

The club is always endeavouring to improve facilities and coaching for our players and hopefully one day a “Clubhouse and Astro”.

To fund this ambition we are holding our annual Christmas Lunch in Clontarf Castle on Friday 21 November 2025.

Our  guest speaker will be Denis Irwin-  Irish and Manchester United Legend .MC for the event will be John Duggan Newstalk/Off the Ball

It’s a great event ,the cost of a table(Max. 10 people ) is €1,200 and we will have member tables to facilitate smaller groups and individuals to attend will cost  €120 each  to make up a table of 10.

We have 48 teams in the club and  would love to have representation at the event from every team.

Clontarf Football Club

This annual event has seen some amazing guests join us, including last year where we had the pleasure of being entertained by Ray Houghton with stories about the great Liverpool side of the 80's and all the amazing memories from Euro 88, Italia 90 and USA 94.

The previous year we were joined by Andy Townsend and Shay given and the year before by Mark Lawrenson and John Aldridge.

We know Denis will entertain all in attendance with some great memories from his playing days.

And this year with our special guest Denis Irwin, those in attendance will get the opportunity to hear Denis tell stories of playing in the great Manchester United side of the 90's under Alex Ferguson, as well as his early career with Leeds and Oldham.

As well his Ireland career which spanned the decade from 1990 to 1999 and included playing in USA 94.

As we have had for the last number of years, the wonderful John Duggan from Newstalk Sport and off the Ball will be our MC for the evening. Johns ability to get the best out of our guest speakers is amazing and John will give everyone in attendance an opportunity to get your questions in to Denis on the day.

Finally as this is a club Fundraiser one of the highlights of the day is the extensive range of football and sports memorabilia that we have for the auction on the day.

The Highlight this year has to be the Maradona signed number 10 Argentina shirt, but we also have a signed Pele Brazil jersey.
