Clontarf FC Corporate Lunch 2024

Our annual Christmas Corporate Lunch takes place this year on Friday November 29th in Clontarf Castle.

A message from our club Chairman John O Neil outlines all the details and how attending this event will really help our club

We are holding our annual Corporate Lunch in Clontarf Castle on Friday 29 November 2024-The day of the General Election and good excuse to vote early.

Clontarf FC  are a local community club catering for both boys and girls from ages 5years to 18 year old and have  circa 800 players( including over 100 girls & growing) participating across 48 teams and our Nursery in our club, and are fourth largest club in Dublin.

Clontarf FC has recently started on the 16 September 2023 a new program entitled “Football For All  with the FAI which has as its central aim the delivery of football opportunities to children(boys and girls) with disabilities, who may not ordinarily get a chance to play the ‘beautiful game’.

As a community club we want to provide all the boys and girls in Clontarf with the opportunity  to play football (The Beautiful game, we all love).

The club is always endeavouring to improve facilities and coaching for our players and hopefully one day a “Clubhouse and Astro” and our annual Corporate Lunch funds this ambition.

Our  guest speaker will be Ray Houghton Irish and Liverpool Legend. Our wonderful MC for the event will be John Duggan Newstalk/Off the Ball who has been a wonderful supporter of our event over the last number of years.

It’s a great event ,the cost of a table(Max. 10 people ) is €1,000 and we will have member tables to facilitate smaller groups and individuals to attend will cost  €100 each  to make up a table of 10.

Clontarf Football Club

Last years event was a huge success and our special guests  Shay Given and Andy Townsend entertained those in attendance with their stories of playing for teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester City.

On top of all the great stories from their days with Ireland playing in World Cups in Japan /SouthKorea and USA 94

And all in the magnificent setting of the great room in Clontarf Castle. It's definitely an event not to be missed.

And this year with our special guest Ray Houghton, those in attendance will get the opportunity to hear Ray tell stories of playing in the great Liverpool side of the 80's as well as the amazing Villa side of the 90's, who came so close to winning a premier league title.

As well as being one of the few players who were part of an Ireland Squad from Euro 88 all the way to USA 94 including the goal that started it all off against England in Euro 88 and the winner against Italy in Giant stadium New York at USA 94.

As we have had for the last number of years, the wonderful John Duggan from Newstalk Sport and off the Ball will be our MC for the evening. Johns ability to get the best out of our guest speakers is amazing and John will give everyone in attendance an opportunity to get your questions in to Ray on the day.

Finally as this is a club Fundraiser one of the highlights of the day is the extensive range of football and sports memorabilia that we have for the auction on the day.

The Highlight this year has to be the Maradona signed number 10 Argentina shirt, but we also have a signed Pele Brazil jersey along with a jimmy greaves Spurs jersey.

Check out the gallery for a small selection of the jerseys to be auctioned, including Liverpool, Man Utd. and Man City stars as well as memorabilia from other sports including signed shorts from the Gypsy King himself, Tyson Fury.
